We’re very proud that Adam Roloff, a Bell Bank Mortgage lender in Woodbury, Minn., is a finalist for Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year.
To be considered for the award, nominees must have made extraordinary contributions to Woodbury communities as a result of a personal commitment.
Inspired by Bell Bank’s Pay It Forward program, which gives employees money to donate to people and organizations in need, Adam started the Pay It Forward Golf Classic in 2016. Each year the tournament raises money to make a difference for three people or organizations.
Among those the tournament has benefited are fifth grade twins who were born with congenital muscular dystrophy, a young girl diagnosed with cancer and an emergency food shelf.
Adam is thankful to Carol Maloney and Shelby Allen, colleagues at the Woodbury location who nominated him for the award.
“I’m very humbled and feel extremely grateful,” Adam remarks. “The tournament could not have been started without help from Shelby and my wife, Sara, so I also want to acknowledge both of their efforts. I feel extremely fortunate to work for Bell Bank Mortgage and to be able to work alongside all of the amazing people here. Bell helped open this world for Sara and me of giving back and making it about other people. It’s changed our lives.”
The Citizen of the Year winner will be announced Friday, Jan. 26, at the chamber’s Community Awards Celebration.
