A few years ago, a Bell employee chose Barb Larson to give money to someone in need through Bell’s Pay It Forward: Community Connect program. Barb selected a woman she knew who works at a local gas station.
“She’s such a hard worker, and she walks to work every day. When I gave her the money, she just cried and said nobody’s ever done anything so nice to her,” Barb says. “The community cares for people, and that’s why I never want to switch from Bell. It’s a small-town feel in a big city.”
How I chose Bell:
I was born and raised in a small town. When I moved to Fargo, I didn’t know which bank to deal with, but I had heard that Bell was a really reputable company. I like that Bell is local and honest, and I can go in and talk to somebody face to face.

I usually bank at Southpointe, but all of the bankers are good! They’re always friendly. They always have smiles on their faces, and they’re a lot of fun. I love Dina Volk (pictured below, now Dilworth branch manager).
My favorite Bell Bank cookie:
Chocolate chip – I go in there, and it smells like they just got done baking cookies.

What I tell others about Bell:
If anybody comes to town looking for a bank, I tell them to go to Bell Bank. They’re very friendly, it’s locally owned, and I’ve never have had any negativity whatsoever at Bell. It’s been a wonderful experience.
